A World Release Video Of Rare Mukathsur City Asils For Malay Invigoration Project

Viggo and I did a quick video of the Punjab Asils from Mukathsur city.

They are around 9 months old.  The rooster is quite large and still has time to grow.

Asils are slow growing and may take up to two years to fully grow.

This is the first video showing these birds fully, a world release!

Viggo and I are really excited about them.

Cascadia Heritage Farm wants to preserve these and other Asils.  We believe as the human experience becomes more global, regional differences are disappearing.  It is not only in the jungles of the Amazon that unique, rare and beautiful lives are being lost to future generations but also in the farmyards across the planet and in our own back yards.

We also plan to benefit the Malay with what we believe to be the fundamental foundation stock of the Malay breed, which is large, wonderful, vigorous Asils. We plan on hybridizing Malays with our Mukathsur Asils to invigorate the American Malays, which have become so rare that inbreeding has become unavoidable. The project is called M.I.G.H.T:  Malay Invigoration Hybridization Team.

Thank you again Jag and Surinder for preserving these chickens, this history, and these genetics, and for your generosity to Cascadia Heritage Farm.  Thank you Neil for working on the M.I.G.H. T project with me.  Your knowledge and persistence are important for the success of our conservation effort.

We really believe it is important to preserve these ancient, primitive, wonderful, hyper-regional animals (as does this rooster)!

We believe we can make a difference at Cascadia Heritage Farm and that you can make a difference too.
